HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is a virus, transmitted through the body fluids, that damages the cells in your immune system and weakens your ability to fight everyday infections and disease.

AIDS(Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) is the name used to describe a number of potentially life-threatening infections and illnesses that happen when your immune system has been severely damaged by the HIV virus without proper medical care.

So, people with HIV who get effective HIV treatment can live long, live healthy and protect their partners.

HIV Testing

Should I get tested for HIV? How often?

1.Who have sex should get tested at least once.

2.Who have sex without using condom properly should get tested every year.

3.Who is at higher risk, like sharing needles, having more than one sex partner, having another sexually transmitted disease, should get tested every three to six months.

HIV testing is anonymous, private and free. Test regularly, and love yourself.
